LONGi has launched LONGi ONE in the United Kingdom, with the Hi-MO One Pro as the flagship platform of its new energy storage portfolio. The modular 261 kWh hybrid energy storage system integrates smart energy management, battery management, power conversion, thermal management, and LONGi's patented, TÜV-certified iCCS predictive safety technology within a single coordinated architecture. The platform was developed to help commercial and industrial businesses increase energy flexibility, support electrification projects, and make more effective use of renewable electricity.

The platform combines intelligent energy management with advanced battery safety and supports applications ranging from self-consumption optimization and peak shaving to backup power, microgrids, and hybrid photovoltaic-storage systems.

The introduction of LONGi ONE reflects the company's strategy to complement advanced back contact solar technology with intelligent energy storage solutions. The portfolio addresses growing demand for greater control over energy costs, stronger operational resilience, and more flexible management of increasingly complex energy infrastructures.

Five in-house developed technologies within one coordinated platform

The Hi-MO One Pro integrates five in-house developed core technologies within a single system architecture: smart energy management (EMS), battery management (BMS), power conversion (PCS), thermal management, and LONGi's patented iCCS predictive safety technology. The integrated design reduces system interfaces and allows closer coordination between hardware, software, and safety functions. It also simplifies installation, commissioning, service, and long-term support.

The platform provides 261 kWh of storage capacity and is available with either 125 kW or 250 kW power conversion capacity. Dedicated AC and DC cabinet versions allow flexible system design across a broad range of commercial and industrial applications.

Predictive safety monitoring provides earlier visibility into battery health

A central element of Hi-MO One Pro is LONGi's patented iCCS predictive safety technology. The TÜV-certified early warning system continuously monitors battery behavior at cell level and evaluates operating parameters including voltage, temperature, gas formation, valve openings, electrolyte leaks, and changes in internal resistance.

Changes in the internal resistance of individual battery cells can be identified up to three to six months before potentially critical thermal developments occur. The system can also detect abnormal gas generation more than 25 minutes before critical conditions develop and identify safety valve openings three to five minutes before a potential thermal runaway event. These capabilities provide operators with additional response time and greater visibility into battery health.

The safety architecture combines predictive monitoring with combustible gas detection, exhaust systems, aerosol fire suppression, and smoke and thermal detection. The platform complies with NFPA 855 and relevant IEC and UL standards. This approach supports proactive maintenance planning, improves operational reliability, reduces downtime risk, and strengthens system safety throughout the operational lifetime of the asset.

Integrated energy management simplifies deployment

The integrated Energy Management System (EMS) comes pre-configured with European grid parameters and reduces on-site commissioning requirements. The system coordinates charging, discharging, and grid interaction in real time. It supports functions such as peak-valley optimization, demand response, anti-reverse power flow control, backup switching, and remote operation and maintenance.

The EMS communicates directly with LONGi's iCCS predictive safety system. This connection enables coordinated control between energy management and battery protection functions. The unified platform simplifies system operation and helps businesses manage increasingly complex commercial and industrial energy environments.

Designed for flexible commercial and industrial energy systems

Direct integration of photovoltaic systems through a 63 kW MPPT input enables hybrid operation alongside grid supply, diesel generators, and electrical loads within a single cabinet architecture. The platform supports applications including self-consumption optimization, peak shaving, demand response participation, and hybrid photovoltaic-storage-diesel configurations.

For businesses facing grid constraints or increasing electrification requirements, Hi-MO One Pro can help reduce peak demand on existing grid connections through intelligent energy management and storage. This can defer or reduce the need for costly transformer and grid infrastructure upgrades while supporting the integration of additional electrical loads such as EV charging, heat pumps, or electrified industrial processes.

Modular design adapts to changing energy requirements

Hi-MO One Pro follows a modular cabinet-based design that allows storage systems to expand alongside operational requirements. In AC configuration, multiple units can be connected in parallel to increase both power and capacity. In DC configuration, additional cabinets can extend storage capacity independently of power output. Depending on system design and load profile, backup durations of up to 24 hours can be achieved, helping maintain critical operations during grid interruptions.

Typical deployment environments include manufacturing facilities, logistics centers, commercial buildings, agricultural operations, and data-driven facilities. The structured expansion architecture enables phased investment while maintaining a consistent system design throughout the lifecycle of the project.

OmniCube L233 expands storage options for space-constrained sites

In addition to Hi-MO One Pro, LONGi will offer the OmniCube L233 for businesses seeking a compact storage solution. The liquid-cooled platform combines 232.96 kWh of storage capacity and 125 kW output within a footprint of just 1.35 m².

Independent cooling circuits for the battery system and power conversion system maintain temperature variation within 3°C. The architecture supports stable operation, long-term performance, and a cycle life of at least 8,000 cycles. The platform is suitable for peak shaving, load shifting, backup power, photovoltaic-storage integration, and microgrid applications.

Flexibility requirements drive storage demand across the UK energy market

The United Kingdom has one of Europe's most advanced energy storage markets and continues to accelerate deployment as renewable generation expands. It added approximately 4 GWh of new grid-scale battery storage capacity in 2025, bringing total operational capacity to around 12.9 GWh. The UK government's Clean Power 2030 Action Plan also identifies energy storage as a critical enabler of a power system increasingly supplied by renewable energy sources.

The need for flexibility extends beyond utility-scale projects. Commercial and industrial businesses face rising electricity demand from electrification, EV charging infrastructure, heat decarbonization initiatives, and digital operations. Grid constraints and growing requirements for operational resilience increase demand for solutions that can improve flexibility, optimize energy use, and reduce peak demand on existing infrastructure.

LONGi ONE was developed to address these evolving requirements. The combination of integrated energy management, scalable storage capacity, and predictive safety technology enables businesses to generate, store, and manage electricity within a single coordinated platform.

With the launch of LONGi ONE in the United Kingdom, LONGi is expanding from solar generation technology into integrated energy management solutions for the commercial and industrial market.
